Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
Currently, we are out-of-network with all insurance providers, but we are working towards accepting insurance in the near future to increase accessibility to our services. In the meantime, we can provide you with a super-bill, which includes a summary of the services provided, that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
How much does a session cost?
The initial intake session is $175, with follow-up sessions priced at $150. Sliding scale options may be available based on therapist discretion and the length of the session.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
Our practice is 100% telehealth, and all sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. We offer telehealth sessions only to provide greater flexibility and comfort for our clients. This format allows you to receive therapy from the convenience of your own space, making it easier to prioritize your mental health on your terms.
Is EMDR effective through telehealth?
Yes, EMDR can be highly effective over telehealth. Research has shown that EMDR performed virtually is just as successful as in-person sessions, allowing you to process trauma in a safe and comfortable environment from your own space. Our therapists are trained to guide you through the process seamlessly, whether in-person or online.
How long does each therapy session last?
Therapy sessions are generally scheduled for about an hour, though traditional sessions may be shorter based on the client’s needs. EMDR sessions may extend beyond one hour, depending on the process.
Do you prescribe medications?
Our therapists are not licensed to prescribe medication, but we recognize that medication management can be an important part of your mental health journey. We can provide referrals to trusted external prescribers to help support your needs.
