Monet Sutton, LMSW

I earned my MSW from Michigan State University, with an undergraduate foundation in Psychology and Child Development. From an early age, I’ve been deeply passionate about understanding child behavior and supporting children’s emotional growth. I’m an EMDRIA-approved therapist and use EMDR to help clients process and heal from trauma.

Over the years, I’ve worked across a range of settings—including schools, child welfare, and community mental health—primarily focusing on children and families. My experience includes supporting individuals impacted by the foster care system, clients with ASD and cognitive differences, and those navigating significant life changes.

I’m currently pursuing certification in play therapy and have been actively integrating play-based techniques into my work. These experiences have led me to specialize in working with neurodivergent children and adults, using a neurodivergent-affirming approach. As a neurodivergent therapist myself, I bring lived experience and a genuine connection to the communities I serve.

My goal is to support you in managing life’s challenges and building skills to navigate them with confidence. You don’t have to face difficult moments alone—prioritizing your mental health is a powerful and important step.
